Iconic Spanish Wine Brand
About the Winery
Gran Feudo is a Spanish wine brand whose reputation continues to grow with the recognition of consumers year after year, to the point where it is the undisputed leader in D.O.P. Navarra. Gran Feudo is now well known in more than 60 countries.
It all began in 1872 when Claudio Chivite began construction of this winery in the heart of Navarra wine region. The family has continued to renovate and improve the winery to obtain wine with an excellent value for money proposition with consistent quality vintage after vintage.
The vineyards are situated in Navarra Ribera Baja, at Cintruénigo and nearby Corella, not far from the border with Rioja Baja. These vineyards cover 80 hectares and together with vineyards in Marcilla that provide an additional 110 hectares. These are supplemented by two exclusive contract vineyards. These five properties are the anchor of the Gran Feudo range.
About the Wine
The Bodegas Gran Feudo Crianza is a blend of Tempranillo, Garnacha, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. The grapes have a slightly delayed harvest, with a mild and dry winter, cool and humid spring, cool and dry summer, hot and dry end of summer and autumn, and cold at the time of harvest.
The wine has spent over 12 months in American oak barrels, resulting in a wine of medium-high intensity, cherry red with tuile hints. Clean and bright. It has an intense, expressive aroma, with notes of ripe black fruits, slight spices and fine wood hints. On the palate it has a clean attack, ample, tasty, full-bodied, balanced and well-integrated tannins. Pleasant, long finish.
