ABOUT THE WINE
The Granite Hills Chardonnay is just a great little value-for-money Chardonnay from Macedon, Victoria, and probably made more so in a sort of slightly older school. It's got lean characters and it's got toasty characters, so it's going to appeal to different tastes. It's just really well made for the money. It comes from Granite Hills, a small producer in Macedon. It's not cheap to grow fruit and produce wine up there, in the Macedon Ranges. This is just a lovely sort of good-value Chardonnay. It's well-made, really good, fine fruit flavours and with a hint of that sort of richer, toasty characters from the old-school style Chardonnays. Just well balanced and well made, and just worth throwing in here as another interesting Chardonnay, basically.
