From an Original Barossa Pioneering Family
Kaesler is a privately owned wine company that produces estate grown wines from vineyards as old as 1893. The Kaesler family were pioneers who settled in the Barossa Valley in the 1840’s. In 1891 they bought a parcel of land and in 1893 planted their first vines.
Today Kaesler wines are made from these ancient, dry grown vineyards, by the third owners of this magnificent property.
Kaesler’s Stonehorse Shiraz is sourced from vines 15 to 40 years old and is matured in 3-year-old barrels for 15 months. A ripe and rich shiraz that offers easy, immediate enjoyment. This is a wine with lovely, rich and juicy blackberry fruit, dark plum, really supple, fleshy palate texture and creamy, even-handed appeal. The nose displays aromas of ripe blackberry, dark plum and liquorice followed by some toasty characters and spice. Velvet smooth tannins.
