From the Home of Pinot Grigio
About the Wine Maker
Terre del Noce means land along the river Noce, located at the foothills of the snowcapped Dolomite mountains in north-eastern Italy. The presence of microclimates, along with the Estate's long wine-making experience, makes it possible to produce 100% single varietal wines characterised by all the vivid elegance and crispiness typical of the Italian Dolomites wines. Its vineyards with pergola trellising, characteristic of the region, run from Lake Garda to the foothills of the towering Dolomites. A fresh and wild breeze blows from the over 400 lakes and numerous glaciers of the surrounding mountains, peaking at over 9,000 feet.
As the winemakers intended, these wines are crafted to be a perfect complement to Italian and International cuisine. Viticulture and winemaking is in the hands of the highly regarded Mezzacorona Group, which explains the superb quality to price ratio. Mezzacorona is located at the foot of the Dolomites, and constantly receives strong ratings, and is renowned for its consistent quality, vintage after vintage.
About the Wine
The wine is made using traditional white wine vinification methods. The wine undergoes a brief, cold maceration on the skins in order to increase the structure and richness, followed by a temperature controlled fermentation of around 10-20 °C. The wine was bottled early without oak ageing or malolactic fermentation in order to preserve the fresh fruit quality.
Pinot Grigio is characterised by its balance, finesse and elegance. This is a dry, elegant wine with delicate acidity, floral notes of camomile, and a clean, crisp medium bodied finish.
Ideal as an aperitif, it is also an excellent partner for light entrées, seafood, lighter white meat dishes and fish. Serve chilled at 10-12°C.
