Trevelen Farm Great Southern Riesling - Western Australia

The Trevelen Farm 'Great Southern' Riesling is straw coloured with a lifted floral, citrus blossom nose and a vibrant lemon, lemon meringue palate. This vintage has the makings of a very long lasting vintage, and will develop for many years.

GH Von Mumm 50th Parallel Riesling Trocken - Rheingau, Germany

The 50° reference in the name of this wine comes from the location of the vineyards where the grapes for this wine are grown. It’s from the Rheingau region and the 50th degree of latitude runs through the center of the region.

This riesling from G.H von Mumm is a trocken, which means it’s a dry style. Orange blossom, lime and mineral aromas give this wine a pleasant nose. The palate has mostly mineral and lime flavors, but there is a hint of peach tucked underneath those. The acidity is stellar and the mouth feel is good. It finishes with mostly mineral flavours, but a touch of green apple gives it some depth.

Clare Wine Co Riesling - South Australia

The nose shows fresh limes with hints of stone fruit notes such as nectarine, with a palate that is quite rich for a younger wine. Nice citrus flavours, lychees, hints of clove on the palate with a bit of sugar, Just to take the sting out of the acid. Mouth filling, and well structured. A great easy drinking style so get the friends together for BBQ lunch with fresh salads and seafood.

Craigow Coal River Riesling - Tasmania

One of the signature grape varieties of Alsace on the border of France and Germany, the Craigow Riesling exhibit the variety’s European hallmarks, with a range of fragrant fruit and floral characters in the bouquet and deilicately crisp; elegantly stuctured palate.

Long Rail Gully Riesling – ACT

The flavour rich fruit produced a wine with a lifted nose of confectionary, lime and citrus. The palate is fresh and lively with a classic crisp refreshing finish typical of good cool climate Riesling.

Jean Marc Bernhard Old Vine Riesling - Alsace, France

I first tasted this wine back in early 2014 and was just impressed by the power of the wine. The reason why I love Riesling, generally because you can see so many different styles from different parts of the world and whist I love the more elegant German styles, this wine took me by surprise with its complexity, power and intensity. Like all the wines from this 9th generation producer, there is a purity in the fruit flavours you get from their wines.

Classic grape scent of apples, citrus, but also some acacia. Almost medium bodied and clean taste with good fruit, lively acidity and nice minerality. A highly reliable wines, year after year.

Enjoy :)
